Viral Video Alert: Watch Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull’s World Cup Bloopers

Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull nearly got stuck below stage Thursday night while performing live before millions at the 2014 FIFA World Cup opening ceremonies in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and even if you don’t know a goal from a guava pastelito, we think you’ll get a *kick* out of the video.

While singing the soccer tournament’s theme, “We Are One (Ole Ola),” the superstar duo was supposed to emerge from below stage on a motorized platform. But the electric riser they were standing on had other plans – or maybe it was just grooving to the beat. Halfway up it stopped, reversed, started to descend and then froze, stranding Jennifer and Pitbull about mid-stage inside the set, which resembled a giant unpeeled orange.

Being the pros they are, they recovered, and Jennifer and Brazilian pop star Claudia Leitte (dressed in blue) awkwardly jumped around in spike heels while Pitbull rapped, wearing what appeared to be his grandfather’s pants. But the night’s goofups weren’t over.

Throughout “We Are One,” the Latin sensations encountered sound and microphone problems. Did they handle the situation with grace, or did these mega-stars lose face? Watch the video below and tell us.

Viral Video Alert: Bet You Can’t Name These 60 Songs

Think you know your ’90s hit songs? We’ll see about that. In our Viral Video Alert choice for April, two Australian singer-comedians perform 60 songs from the ’80s and ’90s in six minutes with just an acoustic guitar.

How many can you correctly name?

Okay, okay. Here are some hints: Starting off with the famous chords from Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Al Newstead and Anna O’Bryan poke fun at ’90s megahits from groups like TLC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alanis Morrissette, Blur, and even, brace yourselves, Ace of Bass, M.C. Hammer and, yikes, Sophie B. Hawkins. (Why, it’s almost as cool as jamming with Donna, Kelly, David and Steve back in 90210‘s famous Peach Pit After Dark.)

So test yourself and then check out the full list of song titles and their singers after the video. We hope these yesteryear hits evoke some happy flannel and spandex memories for you, like they did for us, and if you like what you hear, you can always upload your favorite CDs, mp3s and more songs to our MyMusicCloud store-and-play service for free.

Viral Video Alert: The Best St. Patrick’s Day Hip Hop Dancers

Think you know Irish step-dancing? Well, if you feel like dancing an Irish jig this St. Patrick’s Day, turns out you’ll need some baggy pants, fly kicks, and a whole lot of C-Walking (or Crip-Walking) lessons.
Our latest Viral Video Alert shows what happens when you flip the music on a traditional, hip-hop dance video with something completely unexpected. Below, YouTube comedienne Rikki Rozelle swapped out the Outlawz’ original thumping “Real Talk” rap behind these C-Walk dancers for the sweet whistles and harmonies of the vintage Irish folk song “Mountain Dew.” Then she and her boyfriend edited the dancers’ magical snake-heel and toe moves to match the foine new Celtic beat.
(Not familiar with C-Walking? It evolved from Crip-Walking, a ‘70s dance craze created by California’s notorious Crip gangmembers, but has recently been adopted by European and Asian teenagers.)
Hip-hop, Celtic, dance, pop, whatever music you like, store it all and listen anywhere, anytime on any device with MyMusicCloud. Big props to Nottingham, England dancers GoSu, Kynamite, Scrawer, Murkee, and Rye for their original 2006 street moves. Behold the new, “Celtic Walk” …

MyMusicCloud Viral Video Alert: Is ‘Goose MCs’ the New ‘What the Fox Say’?

What do heroic Hudson-River pilot “Sully” Sullenberger and a nerdy white rapper from Los Angeles have in common?
“Goose MCS all up IN MY ENGINES,” according to this hilarious new music video featuring a ballet-dancing pilot, Riverdancing geese, and, of course, lots of dope rhymes. Believe it or not, Wednesday, Jan. 15, marked the fifth anniversary of Captain Sully’s safe landing in New York’s Hudson River after his U.S. Airways flight was ruthlessly attacked by a flock of wayward water fowl.
And like most rappers from the mean streets of L.A., singer and comedian Zach Sherwin could relate.
“Sometimes with all the jealous haters trying to bring me down, I feel like the Chesley Sullenberger of this rap game …” he says.
Word. But, hey, if you were a fan of Ylvis’s absurdly addictive viral video “What the Fox Say,” we think you’ll dig “Goose MCs.” Check out our Viral Video Alert choice for January below …

Viral Video Alert: Watch Halloween House Sing ‘What Does the Fox Say’

Giant spiders and inflatable witches are popping up on front lawns all across the U.S. as Americans prepare to celebrate their favorite spooky holiday, Halloween. But one Virginia homeowner has taken his love for the season to a hilarious new level by decorating his house in lights synced to the silly music hit of the season: “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say).”

Using over 8,500 lights and roughly 1,066 channels of computer animation, the Edwards family home brings life to the goofy song with lighted tombstones, ghosts and a moving LED mouth that “sings” the famed lyrics, “Dog goes woof, cat goes meow, bird goes tweet, mouse goes squeak  …”  No music is broadcast outside but viewers can laugh along to the perfectly synchronized concert by tuning their cars’ FM radios to a station to “hear the lights” sing.

It’s just another win for “The Fox,” the dance music spoof by the Norwegian Ylvis brothers that has become a worldwide viral video sensation. The song is so popular that costume stores are reportedly selling out of adult fox costumes this season.

The folks at music store-and- play site MyMusicCloud wish you a Happy Halloween and hope you enjoy watching the Edwards’ home sing the “The Fox” below. (Then see the original music video that started it all below that…. )

MyMusicCloud’s Viral Video Alert: Stars Dance to ‘Get Lucky’

Picture “Breaking Bad”’s Bryan Cranston roller boogeying around a disco dance floor. Jeff Bridges getting down in a stairwell. Matt Damon shimmying like a gameshow contestant in a glass case filled with flying confetti.  If any of these images make you grin even a little, you’re in luck.

This month’s edition of our MyMusicCloud Viral Video Alert spotlights comedian Stephen Colbert’s StePhest Colbchella ‘013 Dance Party. Each year, the wacky talk-show holds his annual star-studded tribute to pop music. In case you missed it, last week he declared Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” “The Song of the Summer of the Century.”

But when the funky robots from Daft Punk wouldn’t appear on his Comedy Central show, “The Stephen Colbert Report,” the be-suited Colbert strutted out of the studio and joined his various celeb friends for dancing cameos instead.  Bridges, Cranston and Damon are just a few of the stars captured in the music video dancing to “Get Lucky,” along with Hugh Laurie, Jimmy Fallon, and the New York City Rockettes.

Check out Colbert’s celeb posse and admire his carefree twirling at the same time in StePhest Colbchella ‘013 – “Daft Punk’d” ….
