Feel like belting out Katy Perry‘s “Roar,” want to have an Eminem rap battle with your friends, or just need something to entertain the kids after 87 days of snow? Turn your smart TV into a karaoke machine using the MyMusicCloud app.

With our cloud-based music service, you can access your entire music library from your TV and even follow the words on-screen with our “Lyrics” feature.

To find MyMusicCloud on your Samsung Smart TV, click the Smart Hub button on your TV’s remote control. If you don’t see the MyMusicCloud app on the front page of your Smart Hub, go to “Samsung Apps.” Press the down button to highlight the text box for searching, then use the voice controller to say the app name, or type it in with either a blue-tooth keyboard or your remote control. If you haven’t already activated your account through our app, simply follow the directions in our “How to Activate” post.

Once you log in, you just need a wireless microphone – but even a hairbrush will do. With our Lyrics feature, you can have a ball singing with your family or friends, plus you’ll never belt out a bogus chorus again. (No more, Some nights I stay up cussin’ in my bathtub, to Fun’s “Some Nights.) Just select the Lyrics button on our site and it fetches the correct words (Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck) for you instantly.

Need some inspiration? Here are the most popular karaoke songs of 2014, according to Lucky Voice:

1. “Let It Go” – Idina Menzel/Demi Lovato
2. “Happy” – Pharrell Williams
3. “Roar” – Katy Perry
4. “Someone Like You” – Adele
5. :Rather Be” – Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne
6. “Make You Feel My Love”- Adele
7. “Summer Nights” – John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John
8. “Don’t Stop Believin” – Journey
9. “Livin’ On A Prayer” – Bon Jovi
10. “Jolene” – Dolly Parton

Enjoy and, as “American Idol”s Randy Jackson would say, Don’t be pitchy, dawg!

How to Use the MyMusicCloud App on Your SmartWatch

MMC_GEAR2_Player_V02

Did you know you can listen to your digital music collection right from your smartwatch? Besides being able to place calls and dictate texts, you can rock out to your  favorite songs and playlists with the MyMusicCloud app on Samsung’s new Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear S smartwatches.

So how does it work? If you’re a MyMusicCloud user, you already know you can store all your music for free in our cloud and play up to 250 songs on any laptop or desktop, tablet, and smartphone, regardless of brand. Now, it’s easy to sync our music app to your smartwatch too.

STEP 1. Make sure you’ve downloaded the Samsung Gear Manager app onto your smartphone and that it’s synced to your smartwatch. The Gear Manager controls how your watch looks, and which apps you can download to it.

STEP 2. Turn on your Bluetooth and open Gear Manager on your phone. Select Samsung Gear Apps and click on the Category tab. Tap “Entertainment.” The MyMusicCloud app is available for free here in Samsung’s Apps store.

STEP 3. Download the app, and make sure it appears in your My Apps window by tapping “View App in Gear Manager.”

STEP 4. Open the MyMusicCloud app on your Samsung phone, and just go to “My Apps” on your smartwatch to launch our music app. Now you can choose songs or playlists from your collection to play, rewind, or pause by touching the watch face. (As always, you’ll need to have uploaded your music to our cloud beforehand using a desktop, laptop, or tablet.) You’ll also need a Bluetooth headset to enjoy your jams.

Available in a variety of colors, the Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear S smartwatches cost $299 with most U.S. carriers, such as AT&T.  Although they use the Tizen operating system and not Android, our MyMusicCloud app is also available for Android devices in the Google Play store.

Confused or got a Samsung Gear smartwatch question? For the quickest answers, watch the How To videos on here on Samsung’s Support Page. Or, email us at support@mymusiccloud.com, and we’ll do our best to answer it.

See how easy it is to sync your music across all your gadgets in our demo video below.

Help: How MyMusicCloud Works and FAQs

free music app free storage any device

How many songs can I store? What do those phone icons mean? How do I make a playlist? If you’ve just joined our cloud-based music delivery service or are curious about some of these dashboard features, here are answers to these common FAQs.

How many songs can I store?
MyMusicCloud enables you to upload and store your entire music collection in our cloud completely FREE, so you can access it anytime on up to 10 devices of your choice. You can upload your songs using our Desktop Sync Agent, Dropbox and Google Drive, or by simply clicking the blue Upload arrow icon, found in the top right-hand corner of the dash on our web portal (see image below). The Upload icon opens a box that helps you select and import your music, so you can enjoy any of your 250 songs free seamlessly on any mobile phone, tablet, laptop, Samsung Gear smartwatch, Samsung Smart TV, and more. It doesn’t matter which carrier or brand you have, your songs are always available to play on- or off-line. Don’t want limits on your music library? Choose the “Unlimited” membership and play any song you own for just $40 / year (less than the cost of 1 frappuccino a month).

mymusiccloud dashboard

How much memory do I have left? At the top of the dashboard is the “Account” button. Click on that and a usage bar pops up showing how many songs you’ve uploaded and how much memory is left. If you’ve exceeded your free 250 songs, a CLOUD tab will also appear in the top navigation bar. To move songs you’re tired of back into the cloud, click the Playable tab on the left, hover over any track and click the “-” icon to send the track to storage. Then you can rotate new ones in.

MMC Cloud Storage Icon

What are the phone icons for? Once in MyMusicCloud, your songs are automatically sorted by tracks, albums, artists, and playlists. On the web version under TRACKS, the phone icon indicates whether that song is synced with your mobile device or not, so it can be played offline. Phone icons with a check mark represent synced songs; grayed-out phone icons with a slash through them are un-synced songs. Accidentally un-synced songs from your phone or tablet? You’ll need to sync them through the website. Read how to recover them here.

How do I play, sync, or delete songs? Move your cursor over a song title and click twice to play it. You’ll also see a blue triangle, or “more” menu button, appear in the lower right-hand corner. The menu button helps you select songs to play next in your listening queue (at right); add a tune to an existing playlist; edit the title of a song; sync it with your phone; or delete it

How do I create a playlist? Just highlight the song you want, click the “more” button and choose “Add to Playlist.” A new window pops up asking you to name the new playlist or add the song to an existing list. The playlist then appears in the bottom left corner of the dashboard, and also on your mobile device once you’ve downloaded the app. (Right now, you can only create and edit playlists on our Web dash, not phones.)

We hope this how-to guide makes it simpler for you to navigate our cloud-based music delivery service and free music apps. If you just bought a Smart TV, congratulations! With a few simple steps, our MyMusicCloud app makes it easy for you to fill your home with all your music right from your Smart TV.

We’ve partnered with Samsung Smart TVs (the most popular brand), so you can play your favorite songs, make party playlists, and check out the latest releases from your favorite singers using your TV remote.

Once you have a free MyMusicCloud account, it’s simple to get started. Here’s how in 5 steps.

STEP 1: Click the Smart Hub button on your TV’s remote control. If you don’t see the MyMusicCloud app on the front page of your Smart Hub, go to “Samsung Apps.” Press the down button to highlight the text box for searching, then use the voice controller to say the app name, or type it in with either a blue-tooth keyboard or your remote control.

STEP 2. Once you see the MyMusicCloud TV app, click it. You’ll see a TV activation URL (format: http://www.mymusiccloud.com/XXXXX). The activation code is embedded in the URL; it’s the letters and digits after the ” / ” in the URL.

STEP 3. Type this URL into a browser on your computer, cellphone or tablet. If you choose a cellphone, it sends you to the App Store or Google Play to download the MyMusicCloud app. Download it. (Note that this URL is only valid for 1 hour, so if you get up to make snacks, text or answer a phone call and an hour passes, you’ll need to close the app on your TV and reopen it to get a new URL.)

STEP 4. Sign in to your existing MyMusicCloud account with your usual login and password, or create a new account by clicking “Sign In” on that same screen where you entered the URL. It’s free to upload and store all your music, plus listen to 250 songs anytime you want. (For first-timers, learn how to import your music by reading this step-by-step post.)

STEP 5. Check out your TV screen: It should now show that your account’s active and your music will be right there, ready to browse and play.

How to Free Up Space on Your Android Phone or Tablet

Ariana Grande and The Weeknd don’t look that big, so why are they hogging so much space on your phone or tablet? Or maybe it’s Haim, Shakira, or Luke Bryan who are swallowing your megabytes.

When you love music, you want to have your music collection at your fingertips wherever you go. But, eventually, that dreaded “Not Enough Space” window pops up, because your music collection is taking up too much precious storage on your cellphone or tablet.

Storage problems byte. You could delete some of your favorite apps, spend your heard-earned cash on a bigger SD memory card, or upgrade to a phone or tablet with more memory, but who wants to do that? Here’s a better idea: Take advantage of the free music storage service at MyMusicCloud.

The MyMusicCloud app stores your entire music collection in the cloud for FREE. Listen to any 250 songs, and when you’re sick of them, slide them back into the cloud and rotate in some new tunes. Or for a mere $40 / year, enjoy Unlimited Membership and play any of your songs on any of your devices (up to 10), regardless of brand (Apple, Android, Windows, Nokia, LG). It’s easy.

STEP 1. Create an account at MyMusicCloud.com and automatically upload your music from iTunes, Dropbox, Google Drive or anywhere on your computer’s hard drive. Our Sync Agent magically imports your albums for you. (Here’s how.)

STEP 2. Download the MyMusicCloud app to your Android phone or tablet (Or Samsung Smartwatch or even Smart TV). Log in and all your music is instantly right there.

STEP 3. Got songs floating around your cellphone or tablet that you want to store in the cloud? Just go to “Account” and click the “Sync Now” button. The app sniffs out music on your device and adds it to the cloud for you.

STEP 4. Once you can see all your songs safely stored in MyMusicCloud, delete them from your phone or tablet’s Music folder, freeing up space for games, photos, videos, movies, and more fun apps you’d rather use.

Don’t play storage wars another minute with your Android phone or tablet. Free yourself from storage limits with MyMusicCloud. For more tips, click the “Help & How To” category in our blog’s right-hand margin.

25 Pump-Up, Tailgate Songs to Make Your Own 2014 Football Playlist

Hey Jack, it’s a fact, the show’s back in town. And, by show, we mean America’s favorite pro sport, football! So break out your favorite jerseys and beer koozies, and get ready to drop that bass, because we’re going to help you make a killer football song playlist.

But first, it helps to know what the real grid-iron gangstas are listening to. Billboard.com recently polled several pro-football players about which songs made their pre-game football playlists, and the answers are pretty surprising.

Sure, there was a lot of T.I., Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and Young Jeezy, but there was also Sum 41, Smash Mouth, and Everclear (from Minnesota Viking linebacker Audie Cole); some Whitney Houston and Sade (Really, Dallas Cowboy Justin Durant?); and a little Kaskade and Tiesto (Geoff Schwartz of The New York Giants).

But, seriously, football fans, even though hip-hop has been quickly eclipsing rock at many parking lot parties, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC and Florida Georgia Line are still holding their own. And some of the hottest rappers, like Eminem, are combining the two for even more basspower.

So, here are some of the best, classic, tailgate-crashing, stadium-rocking, football pump-up songs we could find, along with some new jams and some feel-good country anthems for the Boys of Fall.

Got MyMusicCloud? By importing any of these into your music collection, or buying them from our Music Store (starting at 19 cents), you can flag these to a portable Football Playlist in no time.

First, log in to your account from a computer or tablet, select the PLAYLISTS tab at top, and click “Create New Playlist.” Once you name it, open any track and hit the blue triangle that appears at the bottom right. Select “Add to Playlist” and highlight the list you want. Just like that, you’ll have the honeys dancing in their seats at the pre-game party too.

  1. Juelz Santana – The Second Coming
  2. The Rolling Stones – Sympathy for the Devil
  3. Kongos – Come with Me Now
  4. Eminem – Berzerk
  5. Kanye West GOOD Music — To the World
  6. T.I. featuring Eminem – Touchdown
  7. Meek Mill featuring Rick Ross – I’m the Boss
  8. DMX – X Gon’ Give It to Ya
  9. The Heavy – How You Like Me Now (Original)
  10. David Guetta featuring Sia – Titanium
  11. Jay-Z Featuring Rihanna, Kanye West – Run This Town
  12. Daft Punk – Harder Better Faster Stronger
  13. Jay-Z – Public Service Announcement
  14. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Dubstep Remix) – Can’t Hold Us
  15. Coolio – Gangsta’s Paradise
  16. The Notorious B.I.G. — Hypnotize
  17. Kid Rock – All Summer Long
  18. Florida Georgia Line Featuring Luke Bryan – This Is How We Roll
  19. Avenged Sevenfold — Hail to the King
  20. AC/DC — Thunderstruck
  21. Ozzy Osbourne — Crazy Train
